“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Luke 10:19
We are without excuse, but that doesn’t mean we We are without excuse, but that doesn’t mean we won’t make one.

We need to share it.

Church leadership is exhausted. They’re fighting a losing battle if we’re only in church on Sunday.

We need revival. Revelation. Willingness!

The Gospel changes lives, but only the ones it touches. It’s you’ve received it, you have the ability and the responsibility to give it away. You don’t need a degree or a pulpit.

You are worthy.
You are enough.
You are responsible.
2020 was tough. I pray we use it. I’ve struggled 2020 was tough. I pray we use it. I’ve struggled to pick a word this year until this journal prompt by @thedailygraceco . Reading through and searching Galatians 5:16-25, I’ve chosen the word Fruit because this word is what we make it and so is this upcoming year. We can live in the works of the flesh which are obvious “sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar” or we can choose the Spirits call- “Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control” and let this year mean something different even if it doesn’t look different. Here’s my prayer- pray it with me if you’re willing ♥️
“Put your sword back into it’s place” . Even “Put your sword back into it’s place”
.
Even though Peter used a sword and caused some damage- Jesus kindly asked him to put it away. He wanted protection for Peter. He loved him dearly; to use the sword meant to perish. He didn’t want that for Peter.
.
At the time of Jesus’s betrayal, of all the things he said to Peter in that moment, He reminded Peter of God’s power- that He could summon legions of angels of his behalf.. but then the purpose would be interrupted.
.
And then everyone fled.
.
Sometimes we respond to attacks wrong and God sends the reminder.
.
Sometimes we need to remember that God has the power, but He won’t always use it because there’s something bigger at work.
.
And sometimes that purpose leaves us feelings desperate and alone, but even so- He’s on the throne.
Nearly four years later, the clothes we were bapti Nearly four years later, the clothes we were baptized in finally made their way into a shadow box 🖤
“And he went first and said, ‘Son, go and work “And he went first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ And he answered ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went. And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir’ but did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father? They said the first. Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you.’” Matthew 21:28-31

Say it, but mean it.
Lord, I pray for the others that need this, too. Lord,

I pray for the others that need this, too. I pray that instead of validating all their feelings of unevenness or unfairness that you will validate instead their faith. God, if it’s their genuinity that is in question, that you would find them hurting but obedient. I pray that your revelation is enough on the days that joy isn’t. God, I know she loves you too, but I also pray that even though she doesn’t she you around anywhere in the long days, she believes that you’re everywhere; working out every injustice for good, all evil for good. But most of all God, I ask that she knows that her faith, no matter how big, may not result in her miracle, but it will result in the secure eternity she will need when all of this is over for her. God, I don’t pray for her by name, but I pray with her in spirit.

Amen
Be good people first. Be good people first.
